Founder and International Technical Director of Sustainable Livestock and Territorial Governance at IMPULSORA

Dr. Juan Carlos Ordoñez is an international expert in territorial governance, agricultural sustainability, and climate finance. With over 30 years of experience, and currently the CEO of Mesoamérica Import and Export Inc., he previously served as the Vice Minister of Agriculture and Livestock and former Director of the National Agro-Alimentary Health and Safety Service (SENASA) of the Republic of Honduras. He has been a technical advisor for strategic projects with international cooperation entities like the World Bank and the FAO, and has directed programs on low-emission livestock farming, resilient agriculture, and productive reconversion in Latin America and the Caribbean.

He has incorporated a new line of specialization in TradeTech and recently published the book, “TradeTech: The Next Frontier of Global Trade”, where he analyzes the future of the agro-food trade based on disruptive technologies.

As International Technical Director of Sustainable Livestock and Territorial Governance at IMPULSORA, he leads the technical design of climate, agro-industrial, and value chain projects with a focus on market, sustainability, traceability, and international financing. His experience and institutional network strengthen the alignment of IMPULSORA’s projects with ESG standards and SDG frameworks.
